Bowel cancer is often curable if it is diagnosed early. Up to 75 per cent of bowel cancer cases could be prevented with diet and exercise. A protective diet is made up of high vegetable intake and low fat, low kilojoule, high fibre foods. Other protective factors include regular exercise and limited alcohol consumption.
