Role of the HealthInsite Editorial Board

The role of the HealthInsite Editorial Board is to:

  • provide advice on, and participate in, HealthInsite's quality processes for:
    • assessing and approving external information providers (HealthInsite information partners); and
    • prioritising, developing and managing content 
  • facilitate linkages between HealthInsite and stakeholders (including consumer organisations, health professionals, regional health services and potential information partner organisations.

The Assessment of Content for HealthInsite  involves assessment by the potential information partner and the HealthInsite Editorial Team according to criteria  which are based on the Publishing standards for HealthInsite. Information on the assessment, along with details of the potential information partners' own quality assurance process, is then forwarded to the Editorial Board for approval.

The HealthInsite Editorial Team, which supports the Editorial Board, is a unit of the HealthInsite Section within the Australian Department of Health and Ageing.
