SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL OUR SUBSCRIBERS
PLEASE HELP US TEST THE NEW HEALTHINSITE DESIGN
Dear HealthInsite Newsletter Subscribers,
As I mentioned in the last Newsletter, the HealthInsite team have been working on a new design that we hope will make it even easier for you to find the information you're looking for.
Before we started the redesign process we asked several groups of consumers and health professionals to tell us what they liked about the current site and what they wanted to change. These are just some of their comments:

The existing colour scheme good but it's a little 'masculine'.

It needs a tagline to explain that HealthInsite is a gateway to information but does not develop content itself.

It needs a clearer explanation of who HealthInsite is aimed at and what the pathways mean (what users can expect to find under each of the categories).
The new design takes these comments into account, makes better use of the screen space available and helps users to find what they need more easily through improved navigation pathways. The comments we've received so far have been very positive with some very constructive suggestions that we'll include in the final product.
As regular HealthInsite users, we'd love to hear what you think about it
too.
As a work-in-progress, the redesign is at a stage where you will be able to get a clear idea of what we have in mind and how the finished product will work. But please remember that this is a 'test model' and some of the regular features of HealthInsite will not work. This also means that some
links will lead to pages that still have the old design or will not go anywhere.
We are particularly interested in knowing:

What parts of the site do you like best?

What aspects of the new design do you really dislike?

What parts are most helpful?

Is it easier to find things you often look for?

Which parts of the site would you like to be able to find more easily?

Are there any parts of the new design that are confusing?

The new design will be available at http://refresh.healthinsite.gov.au between 27 March and 12 April only. We would really appreciate your taking a little bit of time to have a look at the new design and to send you comments and ideas to us at healthinsite.feedback@health.gov.au. If you
have any questions, you could also send them to the 'feedback' email address.
We'll collate your comments and incorporate them into the design. After final testing the new look and feel will be launched later in the year.
