International Health Information

As with HealthInsite in Australia, other countries have developed health information gateways to provide access to quality-assessed information and services on a wide variety of topics, including many not yet covered by HealthInsite. Although the gateway sites linked from this page have not been through the usual HealthInsite approval process, the information provided has been carefully selected by the publishers to meet similar selection criteria to those used by HealthInsite. However, you should remember when using the information obtained through these sites that not all of the information will be relevant to Australians and that practice in some countries differs from that in Australia. For example, many drugs available overseas are not available in Australia, or have different names. Your health provider will be able to advise on the applicability of this information to your situation.

If the topic you are interested in is not listed in the HealthInsite A-Z Health Topics list, and you have not been able to find any relevant information through the HealthInsite search facility, you may be able to find some information through one of these gateway services.
